Staying inspired as a web designer is one of the most challenging aspects of the job. Web design trends change constantly and its difficult to stay on top of your game. Fortunately there are hundreds of CSS galleries to visit that help get the creative juices flowing. The problem is that most of those websites accept submissions from everyone which causes a huge issue with quality. Another problem is that it’s hard to find shopping/ecommerce websites among the thousands of creative portfolio submissions. There are a couple of these design galleries that we frequent that focus on ecommerce based websites, but they accept entries from any shopping cart.
Since we work exclusively with Magento, we felt there was a need for a website that showcases exclusive designs from the most popular shopping cart software in the world. Today we’re excited to announce the launch of MageAwards.com. Check it out and submit your website for free:
This is a really cool site but I wish it would be updated more. It looks like it’s been almost a year since the first websites have been added. Do you think you’ll keep up with it and add some more sites? Also, I’m working on my friend’s website that is for a preschool. We are trying to help them in the search results for the keyword preschool in saratoga springs, but aren’t having much luck. Do you have any advice? The preschool is located in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
That’s the plan. We just have been too busy working on client projects to give the site the attention it deserves. Maybe when Magento 2.0 comes out we’ll rethink our strategy and repurpose it. As for your SEO question. You should contact us and we can help you with your preschool. We don’t have any experience working with local keywords in the saratoga springs area, but it’s definitely something we can look into for you.
